Biography
James Dickerman is the General Counsel and the Director of Risk Management for JC Law. Prior to joining JC Law, he spent over 30 years as a supervising attorney and principal at Eccleston & Wolf. He joined that firm after graduating from the Boston University School of Law, cum laude, and completing a clerkship with the Honorable Alan J. Wilner, then the Chief Judge of the Court of Special Appeals.
James concentrated his practice on the defense of professionals, including attorneys, architects, engineers, and accountants, in both state and federal courts, at the trial level and on appeal. He also represented attorneys before the Attorney Grievance Commission, accountants before the Maryland Board of Public Accountancy, and provided coverage opinions and advice to insurance companies. Additionally, James represented defendants in class action FDPCA, RESPA, MCDCA, and MCPA claims, construction claims, and real estate-related claims.
James was selected as a Maryland Super Lawyer every year since 2009, for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America every year since 2010, and selected as Best Lawyers’ 2012 Baltimore Professional Malpractice Law—Defendants’ Lawyer of the Year and Best Lawyers’ 2016 Baltimore Professional Malpractice Law—Defendants’ Lawyer of the Year.
