March came in like a lion and went out like a lamb! (Thanks for the April Fools joke Mother Nature) The entire team at JC Law is excited and ready for the warmer months ahead. These April showers will bring us May flowers.
And with a sunnier disposition ahead, we’ve rounded up a few exceptional wins JC Law attorneys are especially proud of from last month.
Welcome Our Newest Team Members
Spring is here and we are growing! There are new faces joining the JC Law team in April. We’d like to welcome aboard:
- Debra Russell, who joins us on April 12th as an Accounts Receivable Analyst to support our Finance Department;
- Rita Dade joins JC Law as a Discovery Specialist supporting our Domestic Department on April 19th; And
- Mariama Keita begins on April 26th as a Paralegal working in the Domestic Department.
We are excited for their arrivals and look forward to the help they’ll provide our clients.
JC Law Domestic Department Matters
Laura Bacon, Esq. scored a big win for her client, winning a Protective Order and granting a Dad emergency custody of his child. The client was ecstatic about the ruling and beyond pleased with how Ms. Bacon handled his case.
Congrats to Timothy Sutton, Esq., senior domestic litigator, whose time and attention to our client’s custody matter won him high praises and got our client the arrangement he was looking for. Mr. Sutton also settle two other significant domestic matters. Awesome service from a stellar attorney.

JC Law Criminal Department Matters
Kudos go to April Jones, paralegal, who set up all the jail calls for our clients. During the Covid-19 pandemic it has been particularly frustrating to get in touch with clients who are incarcerated. But, April has seamlessly connected with all the jails and scheduled the calls for our clients with their attorney’s.
Laura Bacon, Esq. provided superb representation in an academic misconduct case. Her diligent work resulted in the student being found innocent of plagiarism, saving the students GPA, and keeping them in the engineering program.
Great work by Angel Campbell, Esq. who handled a tough case in Charles County dealing with revenge porn. She was able to get her client probation before judgement and unsupervised probation, keeping their life in tact.
