Adam Kronfeld, Esq.

Associate Attorney
Domestic Department

Virginia

Biography

Adam T. Kronfeld is a seasoned litigator with nearly twenty years of experience representing individuals’ legal interests in and out of Northern Virginia courts. Since law school, he has focused his practice upon family law, serving clients in matters of separation and divorce, division of assets and debts, child custody and visitation, spousal support, child support, family abuse protective orders, and the modification and enforcement of existing obligations.

Adam earned his law degree from George Mason University School of Law in 2005, having earlier received Political Science and Economics degrees from Bucknell University. Adam began his professional career during law school with the well-regarded Duff Law Firm, which would later become Duff & Kronfeld. Prior to joining JC Law, Adam was associated with two other prominent Fairfax law firms, both focusing on family law as well. Today, Adam handles family law matters almost exclusively, but has a wealth of experience in other disciplines, such as personal injury, legal malpractice, contracts, and miscellaneous torts, all of which complement his litigation and courtroom skills.

Adam is highly skilled in all aspects of family law litigation, with extensive experience managing high-conflict, document-intensive cases. He is as comfortable with low-conflict, amicable situations as he is with those high-conflict matters that demand intensely strategic approaches to discovery, motion practice, negotiation, and trial advocacy. Throughout Adam’s career, he has successfully guided clients through emotionally charged and financially complex family law disputes while maintaining a strong track record of favorable settlements and courtroom results.

Recognized by peers and colleagues as a Super Lawyers Rising Star in Family Law (2014–2020) and a Super Lawyer in Family Law (2021–2023), Adam is respected within the legal community. He contributes to the profession through statewide Continuing Legal Education presentations, public workshops, and pro bono representation of indigent clients in family abuse cases. He has also volunteered with programs for Fairfax County students, including classroom talks, courthouse tours, and mock trials.

Adam is a lifelong learner, continuously developing his personal and professional strengths. Notably, in the past year, Adam earned formal certifications in project management and legal project management, enabling him to better deliver complex legal work that is in scope, on time, and within budget through disciplined project oversight.

Adam is a member of the Virginia State Bar, Virginia Trial Lawyers Association, Fairfax Bar Association, and Project Management Institute. When not practicing law, Adam is active in his local improv comedy program, frequents Fairfax County parks, and absolutely spoils his cocker spaniel, Buffy.
