Hi, I’m Lauren Macari, the supervising attorney in the domestic department at The Law Offices of James E. Crawford. Today I am going to take a moment to talk with you about the custody factors that a judge is going to take into consideration when making a determination about custody, and obviously children.
So when parties are going to court for the first time, the courts are going to look at what’s in the best interest of the child or children. That alone encompasses 10 different factors. If either of the parties are seeking joint custody the court is going to add in an additional set of factors as well. This should encompass everything that’s in your children’s lives.
Call the office at any time to discuss your matter with one of our domestic attorneys.
